The ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business establishes its Global Foresight Council

ESSEC Business School has announced the launch of the Global Foresight Council, a new high-level advisory body affiliated with the ESSEC Institute for Geopolitics & Business. The council is designed to foster geopolitical reflections on the major transformations reshaping the global economy, bringing together global leaders, ambassadors, Nobel laureates, and leading executives from all over the world.

As part of its new 2024–2028 strategic plan, ESSEC Business School is launching the Geopolitics & Business Center—an interdisciplinary hub for research and pedagogical innovation dedicated to exploring the interactions between geopolitics and the economic world. This Center will equip our students and executive education participants with the knowledge to analyze the impact of geopolitical shocks and long-term trends on companies and organizations. More importantly, it will provide them with concrete skills to navigate these challenges and respond effectively.

Thomas Friang has been appointed Executive Director of the Geopolitics & Business Institute at ESSEC Business School, founded as part of the school’s strategic plan. Thomas will report to Professor Anne-Claire Pache, ESSEC’s Director of Strategy and Social Engagement, and will work closely with the Institute’s Academic Co-Directors, Professors Aurélien Colson and Čedomir Nestorović.
